(Ages 5-6)

Art Explorers ( ages 5-6) is where young artists begin building the foundational skills that will support them for years to come. At an age-appropriate pace, children practice essential techniques such as cutting, drawing, and clay shaping, while gaining confidence with tools and materials. Just as important, they're encouraged to develop their own creative voice, making choices and decisions that reflect their unique perspective. Every project is scaled to their developmental stage, balancing skill-building with the open-ended exploration that lets creativity flourish.

Sample Class Format

  • Classes meet once per week for 90 minutes

  • 60 minutes dedicated to guided art instruction and 30 minutes reserved for free art exploration and tinker time

Art Innovators is designed for our most experienced young artists, offering a deeper dive into advanced techniques and multi-session projects that challenge students to think, plan, and create with greater independence. Building on years of skill development, students explore more complex mediums and processes from sculpture to fiber arts to mixed media, while taking creative risks and problem-solving through their own artistic vision. At this stage, the focus shifts toward mastery and originality, empowering students to fully define their creative voice and approach each project with confidence and intention.
